Below is a history, some philosophy on our Company
and a review of some of the awards that we have been
fortunate enough to acquire over the years.

About Accounting Connections
Quite simply, we are a local (Portland Metro/Vancouver)
staffing agency that was formed in 1996 to help the
business community to acquire the best accounting and
finance personnel available to fulfill their needs.

Our Company History
We started small and by industry and even local
standards, we're still small. This is by design.
We feel the best way to service our clients and job
candidates is individually. We want to get to
know you and your needs so that we can give you the
right fit, the first time, on time.
Like most in our field, we began in Class 'A' office space,
attempting to convey the image we felt was necessary
to our clients and candidates. When the need to
expand arose, we changed our approach entirely.
Today we are located in a 100-year old house converted
to office space and nestled within a mixed use
neighborhood in Northwest Portland. Not many
staffing services have a backyard and none have a
backyard like ours. We have featured twice in
leading national garden magazines and we're included
in the National Registry at the Smithsonian.
Despite these comfortable surroundings, we feel we
are an example of what can be accomplished by hard
work and forward-thinking.
We are a 4-time winner of the Portland Business
Journal's Fastest Growing Private 100 award and
a past recipient of the prestigious Inc. 500
Fastest Growing Award.
We were one of the first to offer employee drug
testing to our clients and we were the first and
still one of few to background check employees.
We background check 100% of all job
candidates that are placed in a position thru our
Company.
We adopted green methods long before they became an
industry buzzword. For years, in conjunction
with
Northwest Organic Farms in Ridgefield,
Washington, we have been recycling our plastics, our
cardboard and even resume hardcopies that didn't
arrive electronically. Those are cross-cut
shredded and added to compost.
We didn't start there and we won't stop there.
We are constantly striving to streamline processes
to reduce waste to help protect and increase the
health of our environment. |
